Pinellas Democratic Party
The Pinellas County Democratic Party’s candidate vetting policy is in accordance with the Bylaws of the Florida Democratic Party and the Pinellas County Democratic Party. The full policy can be found below.
We cannot endorse or support any candidate prior to qualifying, nor in a contested Democratic Primary election.
Post-primary, the Pinellas County Democratic Party may offer support to Democratic candidates who have successfully completed our vetting process. This support can range from canvassing and phone banking to potential monetary contributions, social media promotion, and inclusion in promotional materials.
Our vetting process is designed to ensure that candidates align with the commonly accepted Democratic values and principles as outlined by the Pinellas County Democratic Executive Committee, the Florida Democratic Party, and the Democratic National Committee. Any history of activities contrary to these values is a disqualifier for our support. Additionally, registration as a Democrat alone does not automatically qualify a candidate for our endorsement.
The candidates you find below will be on the ballot in March, August and/or November of 2024. The candidates shown are who are known to us as of the launch of this page on 12/1/2023. We expect to have new candidates entering through next year, and will be updating this list weekly.
