Did you know that almost half a million veterans gained health care coverage during the first two years of the Affordable Care Act?
But Rep. Bilirakis is still working hard to repeal it.
House Republicans have been hinting they may introduce a new plan to replace Affordable Care Act before the 100th day of the Trump presidency.
Naturally, for Rep. Bilirakis and other Republicans, giving President Trump something to arbitrarily tout as an achievement in advance of the 100-day mark is more important than the human toll the proposal would have on millions of Americans.
In addition the negative effects on Veterans, the new Republican proposal would allow states to seek a waiver to get rid of the Affordable Care Act’s prohibition on charging higher premiums to people with preexisting conditions.
The plan would also keep in place the old Republican phase-out of the Medicaid expansion, which would result in 14 million fewer people on Medicaid.
These are just a few of the negative impacts of repealing Obamacare and replacing it with TrumpDontCare.
